Greta C. meets DX Intersection!

On November 16th, hundreds of guests attended the Design Exchange’s annual fundraiser, DX Intersection. All three floors of the beautiful space were transformed into a night of music, nosh and cocktails. DX Intersection was put on in support of the design museum’s youth education program, which focuses on Canadian design preservation initiatives.

With paloform fire bowls lining the entrance, guests perused each floor of the design exchange featuring unique installations and culinary experiences.

The evening grew with excitement as Shauna Levy, president of the Design Exchange announced highlights for 2013. One of these projects include 'The Happy Show,' which will feature renowned NYC-based graphic designer, Stefan Sagmeister and the legendary Christian Louboutin.

Other highlights of the night included art and design installations by Matty Matheson of Parts & Labour, Douglas Coupland and Daniel Faria Gallery, Niall McClelland and Alex Durlak and much more. The evening also featured AUKTION presented by IKEA, which featured 20 one-of-a-kind pieces created by a range of different designers like The Design Agency, Suzanne Dimma, Philip Sparks and many more.

FLASH FASHION: 5 BLACK COLLECTION and TO Fashion Week

FLASH mob: According to Wikipedia (the source of all knowledge), a flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a place, perform an unusual act for a brief time, and then disperse.

If you were at David Pecaut Square on Wednesday, October 24th of Toronto Fashion Week, say around 7:30pm, you’d know exactly what we’re talking about.

If not, no need to fret because we’re bringing FLASH fashion to you.

This flash mob-inspired event unveiled our exclusive 10-piece 5 BLACK COLLECTION. Dancers, a popup runway, and kimono-inspired garments rocked not only the catwalk, but also the surrounding fashion environment space.

Check out some snaps:
